Seeing as how I just started this, I need to update everyone on stuff from the past!!! I'll make different posts today about things that have happened in the past year with being pregnant and Mason coming into the world!!!
First you might want to know how I found out I was pregnant!!! :) BTW, we were NOT planning to have kids yet and I was on birth control! Hadn't missed a day from the time I started taking it!!! And we were not financially ready either!! But in the end, everything worked out and we can now afford and love the miracle that God has blessed up with!!!
Jake and I went out to eat one night at a Mexican restaurant and I was STARVING!!!! We get inside and order our drinks and we are looking at the menu when they bring out the chips and queso!!! I dipped my chip in the queso and when I put it in my mouth I smelt the cheese and almost lost it!! I had to put it back down.... and while Jake was eating dinner, I kept asking him if he was almost done. We FINALLY left and on the way home I told him if he didn't speed up I was going to loose it in his truck. How I held it in I have no idea but when I got home, I threw up for like an hour.... it was horrible!!! Jake thought I was coming down with the flu or something, but I knew exactly what it was because I was a week late, and I guess I just didn't believe it until I got sick!!!
Jake said that he wanted to go play poker for a little bit and asked me if I wanted him to stay there and help me because I didn't feel good. I told him that I was feeling much better and for him to go and have a good time!!! Right when he pulled out of the drive way, I grabbed my shoes and purse and headed to wal-mart to get a test! I bought 2 and when I got home I peed on it (I couldn't wait until the morning)!!! It says to wait like 1-3 mins, but it didn't take 1-3 seconds and there was 2 pink lines... I screamed and slung it out of my hand and grab the other test and ripped it open!!! I peed on it and the same thing!!! So, I called my sister and told her what was going on and not to tell anyone, because I wanted to tell Jake before anyone else knew!!! She met be back at wal-mart and I bought a bib that says "I love my Daddy" and a small gift bag!!!
I put the 2 tests and the bib in the bag and waited up on him to get home!!!! When he got home he came in the bed room and I told him that I had a present for him! He knew that something was going on because it was 11:00 pm and I was still up!!! (I go to bed early, like 9:00pm..lol) He opened it and just looked at me. I started to cry and he asked me what was wrong and I told him that I didn't want him to be mad at me because we were having a baby!!! He laughed and told me that he wasn't mad and that he couldn't be mad because he had a part in it too!!! lol!!! So he thought I was just tricking him because I still hadn't gotten my revenge on him from a while back!! lol! I told him that I wasn't joking and he said that He better not get excited and then me say that I was for real just joking!! So he called his best friend and said, "Man, I'm going to be a Dad!!!" With a big smile on his face!
